What a great idea Lauren!! And since I have sampled your baking before and know its delicious, I definitely have to leave a comment!! My favourite Christmas treats are chocolate covered cherries and frozen peppermint cheesecake. Both a little time-consuming but very yummy!!

ReplyDeleteThey all sound so yummy. Not sure is I have just one favorite treat at Christmas...anybody who knows me knows I love eggnog and buy it as soon as it hits the shelves after Thanksgiving. I also really like to eat shortbread and vinatarta!! I"m getting hungary just thinking about this. :)
Wow! It's so hard to narrow it down. I love all Christmas treats and food so much and look forward to them all year, simply because my mother doesn't make them any other time of the year (we spend Christmas at my mom and dad's). If I had to pick one food I would pick, as weird as it sounds, my mom's Creamed Onions. She basically boils or cooks the onions till their soft and then pours homemade cheese sauce all over them. Strange I know, but my absolute favourite - she makes more than enough just so she can send some home with me. :) My favourite treat would have to be Rice Krispie Caramel Marshmallow Balls, a Mennonite must on my side of the family. Seriously, I think I've seen them in every Mennonite Church Cookbook. :) Now my stomach is growling... :)
ReplyDeleteLove the giveaway Lauren! My favs are peppermint glazed cookies and biscotti. Each Christmas my Mom and I try our hand at a batch of biscotti. The flavour changes from year to year. My fav so far was the ginger glazed one. Mmm...me thinks I have a thing for glazed treats!
